I'm delighted that Kaushik Vishwanath, who was shortlisted for the TFA writing awards this year and whom I met in Bangalore at the awards function, has now been accepted at the University of Notre Dame's fiction program. Winning the Toto was momentous and encouraging for me, and Notre Dame transformed my writing and its world, and I can't wait to see where Kaushik will be after he graduates. All my wishes to him.
